CBC prices all jobs by the location, number of guests, date and any special requests.
Please call us for an exact price estimate.
What time do you arrive for my event and how long do you stay?
We usually arrive approximately 1 ½ hrs before your serving time.
Our total time on the job is about 3 ½ hrs.
What does clambakes of Connecticut supply and what do you do?
We will serve at any chosen location. CBC brings all that it needs for meal. Grills, burners, pots and of course the FOOD.
All Events Include:
Buffet tables, Serving dishes, Heavy-duty disposable plates, Plastic utensils, and Lobster bibs, Napkins, Wet wipes and all appropriate condiments.
What do I need to supply?
You only have to have a place with enough room for your guests to eat and any drinks you would like to serve. CBC can supply additional items including tables, chairs, linens, drinks, ice or cups etc. Just let us know.
I need wait staff and or a bartender?
No problem CBC can supply everything you need just ask.
Can I change around the menu?
Sure, we would be happy to accommodate any request. We have many pre determined menus such as our “wedding special” “Premium clambake” “Texas BBQ Deluxe”
“Backyard BBQ” or feel free to make your own.
What if it rains?
Unless there is a “rain date” agreement beforehand CBC will bring pop-up tents to cover the buffet and cooking area.
My expected guest count went up/down, does this effect the original quote?
If your guest count goes below the minimum number the price per guest may increase. If your guest count goes up please let us know and we will do all we can to accommodate your needs.
What form of payment do you accept?
CBC accepts cash & checks. Credit cards are accepted but the balance due must be paid 24 hrs before your event.
I live out of the area and or do not have a venue for my event?
CBC can supply you with a venue list and can also help you with any cater related rentals etc.
Aren’t all clambakes and BBQ's alike?
Absolutely not. Clambakes of CT is family owned and operated and lives by the motto
“like we are cooking for our own family”. In this business you truly get what you pay for and CBC is delighted to go the extra mile for our clients.
Where does your seafood come from?
We only use live cold water Maine lobsters, our clams come from Rhode Island and
Mussels Prince Edward Island Canada.
What is the 18% service charge and is that not a tip?
No, this is not a tip. The 18% service charge is to cover the unseen expenses of the business such as:
Loading and unloading of food and equipment, cleanup of trucks, repacking the equipment used, fuel and the countless hours of prep work that goes into making your event a success. Any gratuity you choose to award the staff will go equally to the service staff that worked on your event.
How do I know when the clambake season is over?
We provide services year-round. We will come to your location, prepare your food outside and serve it anyplace you like. As a matter of fact it is a terrific idea to have a event in the off-months as your guests will always remember that “clambake in the winter”.
